Jennifer| DNP, RN MBA BA

Jennifer is a California native with a heavy family affiliated military back-round. She is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Registered Nurse. She obtained both a Master Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Gerontology with a focus in Neurology from the University of Arizona. Currently, she specializes in Nephrology, Gerontology and Neurology.

In the beginning of Jennifer’s medical career she worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant which she obtained from Ventura Colleges and Universities.

Her passion for health and wellness is evident and as it continued to grow she decided to further her understanding regarding the tie between kinesiology, health, wellness and nutrition by obtaining her advanced personal trainer and advanced sports medicine nutritionist certifications.

Her nursing back-round is quite extensive and while her specialty is working with those who suffer from cognitive impairments and neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injuries, mild cognitive Impairments, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Lewy body and Parkinson’s disease, she also specializes in nephrology and works with those who suffer from chronic disease processes such as hypertension, diabetes, heart failure and end stage renal diseases. She is a current Residential for the Care of the Facilities administrative license holder (RCFE) and has also worked in the neonatal intensive care unit, the PCU, The Direct Observational Care Unit, the pediatric unit, the prisons, Family Practice, oncology, the emergency room, the Sub Acute unit, Skilled Nursing, the prison, Assisted Living, Telemetry, Continuing Care, In home and on the Medical Surgery floor both floor nursing and as the Health Services Director which is an administrative nursing position.

Jennifer’s goal is to create a movement that embodies the word PULSE. Positivity, Unity, Love, Strength and Empowerment. She likes the idea of promoting health and fitness as one and believes It isn’t until people truly understand that a change in lifestyle is the most beneficial not only for our longevity of life but for our quality of life that we truly see and maintain long lasting results.

Consistency is key and the journey however challenging should be an enjoyable one. Progression and change happen slowly but they both happen in time  so trust the process and be patient. We look forward to having you be a part of the movement here at Wellness & HIIT by Dr. Jen
